Infrastructure

Optimal Infrastructure
Industriepark Schwarze Pumpe has a fully developed infrastructure. A grid of internal streets divides the area in sites of approx. 200 x 400 m which ensures easy accessibility to each site.

The required supply lines for electricity, telecommunications, drinking water, industrial water, waste water and storm-water drains, as well as steam and district heating run parallel to this street system, so that connection points can be chosen as required.

The location has an extensive system of siding tracks with connection to the Deutsche Bahn AG.

The following parameters of the supply and disposal system are given for your guidance:

Process steam and district heating
The newly-built lignite power station of Vattenfall Europe Generation AG provides the location with continual steam and district heating. Process steam is available at 4.5 bar (abs) and 180°C, and district heating at 130/70°C.

Electricity
The location has a 110 kV power supply system. A transformer station provides voltage levels of 30 kV, 6 kV and 0.4 kV.

Natural gas
A gas regulator station supplies the location with natural gas, if required.

Water
A waterworks facility within the industrial park provides drinking water and various qualities of industrial water.

Technical gases
Sufficient supply of technical gases (e.g. oxygen and nitrogen) is provided by the firm Linde, which also has operations on site.

Waste water
The industrial park is equipped with separate storm-water and sewage draining systems and two separate industrial water purification plants.

Highest Reliability, Security and Safety
Due to above-average capacities and the partly redundant supply mains network, the operating reliability is especially high in INDUSTRIEPARK SCHWARZE PUMPE. The site is fenced-in and has 24-hour security.

Our on-site industrial fire brigade provides immediate help in the event of fire or accidents.

Tried and Tested Partnership
Today more than 80 companies enjoy the advantages of the location. One of these is Vattenfall Europe AG, one of Europe’s largest energy companies which verifies our many advantages of INDUSTRIEPARK SCHWARZE PUMPE. This also applies to Siemens AG, BEA GmbH, Knauf KG (Danogips), Linde AG, ThyssenKrupp and other well known companies which have established operations here. Also of interest for investing companies, there are skilled workers available in the region at short notice. At this site there are currently approximately 3,000 people working in the fields of power generation, paper production, construction materials, waste disposal, steel construction, chemicals industry, maintenance, logistics, laboratories and analysis, planning and engineering, communications, electrical engineering, measuring and control engineering, as well as fitting and assembly working here.
